Signal Acquisition and Actuation Module
In geotechnical engineering, reliable collection and timely control of sensor data are directly related to the timeliness of structural safety judgments. In many sites, due to unstable power supply or large temperature differences, data drift or communication interruptions often occur with ordinary collection equipment. Kingmach's signal acquisition and driving module is designed to solve such problems - it is not only responsible for reading signals such as vibrating wires and voltages, but also issues driving instructions to local devices based on preset thresholds, reducing the need for manual intervention. This bidirectional capability makes it more suitable for long-term projects such as landslide monitoring and foundation pit displacement. The module itself takes into account industrial-grade wide-temperature design and low-power operation. Even in the wild without mains power, it can be supported by the battery for several months. We are not making laboratory equipment, so the design pays more attention to the convenience of actual installation, such as pluggable terminals and IP65 protection of the shell. Of course, different projects have different requirements for channel numbers and communication protocols, which is why we support customization. Overall, this module is the link between "perception" and "action" in the Kingmach series.
Technical Detail
In the geotechnical monitoring industry, the core value of the signal acquisition module lies in its measurement accuracy and long-term stability. Kingmach's design team concluded from on-site fault feedback that lightning protection, anti-interference, and low zero drift were the focus of hardware design. This module usually provides 4-16 analog input channels, is compatible with common vibrating wire, differential resistance, and 4-20mA output sensors, and also supports voltage, resistance and other signal types. The built-in 24-bit ADC ensures that weak signals can be accurately captured, and the programmable gain amplifier can automatically adapt to different measurement ranges. On the drive side, it is usually equipped with relay output or digital I/O to trigger alarms, water pumps or other actuators. In terms of communication, the module comes standard with RS485 and Modbus protocols, and can also be equipped with 4G/LTE wireless transmission to facilitate access to existing automation systems. Kingmach also provides supporting simple configuration software, allowing users to set sampling intervals, alarm thresholds and other parameters without programming. The hardware itself has an operating temperature range of -20°C to 70°C and has been tested in salt spray, making it suitable for coastal or high-humidity environments. In addition to standard products, we accept customizations such as channel number, housing material, terminal type, etc. to meet the size constraints of special drilling or tunnel monitoring. In terms of after-sales, we have technical support points in major areas and can provide remote debugging and on-site training. For system integrators, this reduces selection and running-in costs.

FAQ
It can process the signals of common geotechnical sensors, such as the frequency signal of a vibrating wire sensor, the resistance ratio of a differential resistance sensor, 4-20mA current, 0-5V voltage, etc. If your sensor output is special, we can adjust the signal conditioning part.
The original intention of the design is an unattended environment. The wide temperature range, low power consumption, lightning protection and anti-interference have been enhanced, and the mean time between failures is generally more than 50,000 hours. It can work continuously for several months under battery power, depending on the sampling frequency.
The standard version has an RS485 interface and supports the Modbus protocol. It can be uploaded through wired or wireless data transmission equipment. It can also be equipped with a built-in 4G module and can be directly connected to the cloud. We have customers who can directly connect to third-party platforms, as long as the protocol is open.
It has relay output or digital I/O, which can automatically turn on or off the equipment according to the conditions you set, such as starting the drainage pump when the water level exceeds the limit. It also supports remote command control.
Yes. We provide a complete communication protocol and register mapping table, and are also happy to assist customers in writing host computer software or embedding PLC programs. Customization requirements can be communicated directly with engineers.
